		<description>Unit trusts are for the very wary investor. I guess if you had a diversified portfolio they would not be so  bad to spread the risk, but I would like my investment to increase in value over time.

 The up side is that you wouldn&#039;t be charged a capital gains tax when you cash them in would you?</description>

I&#039;m getting a pretty long list of things to learn more about.  I&#039;m undecided about investing in unit investment trusts though.  I&#039;m not sure about an investment where the interest rate stays the same as the day you bought it.

Especially when the cost of living continues to rise steadily.  I guess you have to balance that with not having to pick your own stocks.</description>
